Maelstrom partnered with OverActive Media, Activision Blizzard, EFG and Bombee to deliver the Call of Duty League Championship Weekend 2025, hosted at The Aud in Waterloo, Ontario. 

Maelstrom provided venue management, front-of-house entertainment, Challengers tournament operations, vendor logistics, and full broadcast support, including supplying a full broadcast truck and equipment. The event featured a visually stunning 360-degree stage that enhanced the experience for both players and fans.

The event reached new competitive heights, becoming the most-watched CDL event of all time, with viewership peaking at 353,525 during the intense Grand Final between OpTic Texas and Vancouver Surge. Champs 2025 also secured its place in history as the second most-watched Call of Duty esports event ever, cementing its legacy as one of the most exciting esports moments to date.
